Died of illness in Bengbu, Anhui on February 18, 1986.
  Xie Youbai (1933.9.23-). Expert in mechanical design and theory, and tribology. A native of Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province. Graduated from Jiaotong University (Shanghai) in 1955. He is currently a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Xi'an Jiao Tong University.
