Introduction to Qin Jingxiu


Qin Houxiu, courtesy name Tongxi, was born on the first day of the tenth lunar month in 1922 in Shuangjing Village, Fengmuqiao Township, Ningxiang County, Changsha, Hunan. His father was Qin Zhuo, director of the key division of the 11th Army Group of the Kuomintang, and his mother was Liu Mengtao. Currently (2013) lives in Building 1, Section 2, Xinglong Road, Wenshan District, Taipei City. The mother of current Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou. President of the Taiwan Alumni Association of Zhounan Middle School in Hunan Province. The people of Ningxiang County ranked her after the "four old ladies", and she was known as the fifth "old lady" of Ningxiang.

Introduction by Qin Houxiu


Qin Houxiu (November 19, 1922 - May 2, 2014), female, originally from Ningxiang County, Changsha, Hunan Province. She was a former Taiwan "government" official and president of the Taiwan Alumni Association of Zhounan Middle School in Hunan Province. Qin Houxiu is the mother of Ma Ying-jeou, the current leader of Taiwan. On the evening of May 2, 2014, Qin Houxiu passed away in Taipei due to illness. Taipei Wanfang Hospital issued a press release in the evening confirming the news.
