What does it mean to look at the door and stop thinking about Zhang Jian?

It means: The life of a fugitive is so tense that when he sees someone, he comes to stay at home. I hope that Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao, who are on the run, can be protected by people like Zhang Jian.

original:

I looked at the door and stopped thinking about Zhang Jian, and waited for Du Gen for a moment.

I am smiling towards the sky with my horizontal sword, leaving my liver and gallbladder intact.

translate:

Life on the run was so tense, and I would come to stay at someone's house when I saw one. I hope that Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao, who are on the run, can be protected by people like Zhang Jian. I also hope that my comrades can endure death and wait to complete the great cause of reform like Dugan.

I walked out with my sword and looked up to the sky laughing, because those who left and those who stayed were honest and upright, just like the majestic Kunlun Mountains.

Extended information:

The twenty-fourth year of Guangxu (1898) was the Wuxu year of the lunar calendar. In June of that year, Emperor Guangxu implemented the reform. In August, Tan Sitong went to Beijing to participate in the New Deal. In mid-September, Empress Dowager Cixi launched a coup, imprisoned Emperor Guangxu, and began to massacre reformers. On September 21, he was arrested at the same time as Yang Shenxiu, Liu Guangdi, Kang Guangren, Yang Rui and Lin Xu. This poem was written while he was in prison.

Of course, writing "Go and stay the liver and gallbladder and Kunlun" is the need for poetry expression-including Ping and Qi, the whole meaning is to refer to one's own awe-inspiring liver and gallbladder energy like the vast Kunlun.

In fact, to interpret it literally, leaving behind the "liver" (one Kunlun) like Kunlun and the "gall" (one Kunlun) like Kunlun, doesn't this also express the poet's disregard for death, majesty and generosity? Tragic? It is that strong sense of sublimity and tragedy that inspired the poet to brave death and stand in the execution ground. And what this sentence expresses is the strong sense of nobility and the strong sense of tragedy that shocks people's hearts and commits suicide.

Who are the characters named Zhang in the Three Kingdoms?

Among the people with the surname Zhang in the Three Kingdoms, the most well-known person to us is Zhang Fei.

Zhang Fei, courtesy name Yide, was born in Zhuojun (now Zhuozhou City, Baoding, Hebei Province) and was a famous general of the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period. Zhang Fei was so brave that he and his sworn brother Guan Yu were known as "An enemy of ten thousand". Guan Yu was several years older, so he became Zhang Fei's elder brother.

When the Yellow Turban Uprising broke out in 184 AD, Liu Bei organized a volunteer army in Zhuoxian County to participate in the war to exterminate the Yellow Turban Army. Zhang Fei joined Guan Yu and followed Liu Bei around. The three of them love each other like brothers and sleep in the same bed. When Liu Bei attends various banquets, Guan Yu and Liu Bei stand by Liu Bei's side all day long.

In 196 AD, he was defeated by Lu Bu because of his feud with Cao Bao. After Lu Bu's defeat, Zhang Fei was appointed Zhonglang General.

In 200 AD, Liu Bei leaked the imperial edict, led Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to escape, and killed Che Zhou, the governor of Xuzhou. Later, Liu Bei was defeated and Guan Yu was captured. Liu Bei and Zhang Fei defected to Yuan Shao.

When Liu Bei was defeated at Changbanpo in 208 AD, Zhang Fei, who led only 20 cavalry to cut off the enemy, shouted loudly at Dangyang Bridge. No one in Cao's army dared to approach, so Liu Bei was spared.

After Liu Bei entered Shu, Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang and Zhao Yun marched into Xichuan and divided them into counties. When he arrived in Jiangzhou, he released Yan Yan, the governor of Bajun under Liu Zhang. In the Battle of Brazil, he defeated the famous Wei general Zhang He. In the battle of Wudu, he was defeated and returned.

After Liu Bei proclaimed himself emperor, Zhang Fei was promoted to general of chariots and cavalry, captain of the Sili school, and granted the title of Marquis of Xixiang. In the same year, Zhang Fei was killed by his generals Fan Qiang and Zhang Da because of his violence and lack of kindness. His posthumous title is Huan Hou.

Zhang Jian in Tan Sitong's fatal poem

Zhang Jian: A native of Gaoping in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, because of the impeachment of the eunuch Hou Lan, he was falsely accused of "forming a party" and was forced to flee. During his escape, all the families who accepted him to stay were willing to receive him without fear of implication. The matter can be found in "Book of the Later Han·Biography of Zhang Jian".

Du Gen: A native of Dingling in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Empress Dowager Deng was the regent and the eunuch had exclusive power during the Han Dynasty. She wrote a letter asking the Empress Dowager to return her power. The Empress Dowager was furious and ordered someone to put him in a bag and throw him to death. The executioner admired Du Gen's character and did not use force. I want to wait for him to leave the palace and release him. The Queen Mother was suspicious and sent someone to investigate. When she saw maggots in Du Gen's eyes, she believed that he was dead. Dugan was finally able to escape. The matter can be found in "Book of the Later Han Dynasty: Biography of Du Gen".

"Looking at the door and stopping to think about Zhang Jian, I endured death for a moment and waited for Du Gen." The key to these two sentences lies in the two words "thinking" and "waiting". Zhang Jian, who stayed at the gate, and Du Gen, who endured death for a moment, were two famous figures in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

What they all have in common is that they are upright and outspoken in admonishment, but as a result they were attacked by the government.

Those who execute the punishment should respect what they are doing and do not apply more force to the punishment, so that they will not die. Empress Dowager Deng ordered someone to check. He pretended to be dead for three days and maggots appeared in his eyes. Later, he worked as a bartender in a hotel. After Empress Dowager Deng was executed, she was reinstated as Shi Yushi. This is to encourage the surviving reformers to take shelter for a while, waiting for their comeback. To endure death, to pretend to be dead. A moment, not a long time.
